Here is the first page of my book, Puss -n- Boots. It is a scene where the narrator first describes how the young man came to acquire the cat. His father passed away and left his shop to his eldest son, his horse, to his second son, and his cat to his youngest son. The youngest son feels very upset regarding the whole situation. He is distraught over losing his father and saddened that he got the short end of the stick and only got his father's cat. Little does he know, this cat will change his life!
